The COC-12 Interim Policy is being phased out.
This is a SmartWood Policy, not an FSC policy. COC-12 temporarily allowed the FM/COC or COC certificate holder to include a non-certified logger
[a non-CoC logger] into their scope. For certified landowners, it extends the forest gate to the delivery point at the mill or log yard.
FSC requires that use of this policy be phased out since it is not consistent with current FSC standards. Phase out time frame is still to be determined but could be as early as 12/31/10. Contact your SmartWood project manager for more information.”
